Wilfried Ayatodé : What the caught escapee risks

His escape in January 2023 made the media rounds. At the Thursday hearing 11 May 2023, the representative of the public prosecutor asked the Court to condemn in absentia the fugitive and the co-defendants to 14 years in prison and 600 million fine. He also asked the Court to condemn the defendants Desiré Vodonou, Sy Sérigne Abdoulaye and two others to be paid jointly as damages 630 million CFA francs, according to Libre Express. The verdict of this trial is expected on Thursday 20 July 2023 to the Criet.
Arrested in Ivory Coast, In the last news, he has already been extradited to Benin and is staying in the civil prison of Cotonou. Wilfried Ayatodé therefore risks 14 years in prison and millions to pay in fines.
