Grand Mono Academies International Tournament (Tiagra Mono): An opportunity from Luc René Messanh to young talents

Messanh sports by Luc René Messanh you organize 20 at 27 August 2023 at the municipal stadium of Athiémé, the first edition of the International Grand Mono Academies Tournament (Tiagra-Mono). This tournament will bring together age category teams from 15 academies from the departments of Mono, Couffo from Benin and Bas-Mono in Togo.

Indeed, according to the Commissioner General, Luc René Messanh, it is a concept is based on “the creation of a label, a football tournament of age categories around the centers, academies and training initiatives of cities sharing the Mono River ». He explains that the idea is to bring together young people from training centers through football for ten days around themes and other recreational activities in order to promote mixing and sharing of experiences.. It is also an opportunity "to build capacity for the benefit of trainers and administrative managers of the structures concerned".

15 academies at the rendezvous

This tournament concerns the departments of Mono and Couffo in Benin and Bas Mono in Togo. In total, 15 academies are expected with U teams 15 and U17 girls and boys. Among them, there will be six Mono-Couffo academies and two extra-community academies, ASPAC and LOTO-POPO. According to Luc René Messanh, about ten recruiters are announced for this tournament, including Martin Henrotay of Vision Foot (group having players like the Hazard brothers and Courtois).

On the sidelines of this tournament, it is planned to train educators who accompany the different teams and advocacy will be done to manage the Mono River flood period for the benefit of the populations..
