Tournament ” FOU 2 FOOT: Journalist Étienne Yémadjè repeats the feat

Indeed, the second edition of the football tournament ” FOU 2 FOOT” with the trophy ”Alphonse Yémadjè ” took flight on the Pépé Facia field in the locality. After a brilliantly successful premiere, the journalist Étienne Yémadjè, tournament promoter ”FOU 2 FOOT”  returns to the charge this year to allow lovers of round leather from the district of Akassato and surrounding areas to spend a wonderful holiday period around their sporting discipline of passion. The best of the 2nd edition of this competition was given at the start of last weekend. Tournament ”FOU 2 FOOT” aims not only to pay tribute to football enthusiast Alphonse Yémadjè, late father of the initiator but also to promote the king of sport at the base. This is why the competition is exclusively open to age category teams..

In total 16 teams including 8 at the U15 level and as many at the U18 level participate in this football party. For the tournament promoter Etienne YEMADJÈ,  ”FOU 2 FOOT” is also an opportunity for children who aspire to a career in football to express their talents. Which can be a springboard for them to be discovered by recruiters.

Let us point out in passing that these are the youngest (U15) who also opened the ball of the competition. At the end of a very lively match on both sides, Espoir FC got out of trouble thanks to the unique achievement of Elisé Yémé. Despite the various attempts by Léopard FC to restore parity, the score remained as it was until the final whistle of the match referee. “We are really happy and if we can continue this momentum, it will really make us happy… We promise to go very far in this tournament” says Amos Aplogan, captain of Espoir FC. Same state of mind on the part of the coach of the winning team Raoul Yémé who intends to end up winner of the tournament. “It’s an immense joy. The children held on until the end. They followed the instructions and it delivered what we expected.. I still wish them to continue like this so that in the end, the Espoir FC team will be champions of this tournament,” he projects. On the other hand, we note a feeling of disappointment in the ranks of the opposing team which promises to work in order to reverse the curve during the meetings to come. “For the match, we played well but our defense wasn't too solid and we conceded. We will prepare to come back very strong. Our goal for this tournament, it’s about succeeding,” reassures Roberto Carlos Biaou, captain of Leopard FC. Tournament ” FOU 2 FOOT ” receives support from the National Fund for the Development of Youth and Leisure Activities (FNDAJSL). Placed under the sponsorship of Thierry DEGLA, the initiative has the official sponsor Thiesco Sarl. She will know her epilogue on 10 next september.
