In partnership with the Claire Vision team, the Leo Club Cotonou Béryl organized an awareness and visual health screening event at CEG Sainte Rita, benefiting almost 100 students. This initiative is part of World Sight Day, celebrated this year on 10 October, in order to promote the prevention of visual disorders and encourage early treatment.
During this day dedicated to sight, eye health experts from Claire Vision carried out visual acuity tests and provided sound advice to the young participants. The students thus had the opportunity to better understand the importance of visual health., an often overlooked but crucial concern for academic success and overall well-being.
The enthusiasm of the students and their interest in this approach marked this meeting, testifying to the success and impact of the initiative. According to the organizers, students expressed their gratitude, especially those who have discovered signs of visual weakness requiring special attention. “The prevention of vision problems in young people is a major public health issue, and our mission is to raise awareness and intervene where the need arises, » declared the President of Leo Club Cotonou Béryl. This action, they add, is part of a broader commitment by the club to the health and well-being of young people in Benin.
The Leo Club Cotonou Béryl warmly thanks the Claire Vision eyewear team, the teachers of CEG Sainte Rita, as well as all the volunteers and supporters who made this day a reality. Thanks to their mobilization, the event helped to raise awareness of visual health, while providing students with free access to screening services. The organizers hope that this outpouring of solidarity can continue and extend to other schools in the years to come., to promote better visual health for all.
