SENEGAL / HANDBALL : Introduction to the profession of handball technician

Since monday 17 August 2020, young future handball technicians are in training. Scheduled to end on 26 August, this training will be sanctioned by the graduation.

It is an introductory course of 10 days organized by the district of Guédiawaye in collaboration with the departmental inspection of sports of Guédiawaye. More than 40 trainees take part in this training. The objective of this internship, according to the National Technical Director (DTN) of the Senegalese Handball Federation (FSH), Mamadou Youga Dieng, it is to revitalize the practice of handball in the suburbs but also to allow coaches to raise their technical level and have the diplomas required to be able to move to a higher level. It is also an opportunity to create a new dynamic in the context of performance research.
Mme Aida Sy, First Vice-President of the FSH accompanied by a delegation welcomed the initiative of the Guédiawaye district and congratulated the female presence while regretting the small number of female participations.

The training continues until Wednesday 26 August with the graduation ceremony for the participants. This training is one of the measures to restore the image of Senegalese handball.
