Community Health: Cedel-Ong on a crusade against viral hepatitis

The international community celebrated the 28 last july the world day against hepatitis. On the sidelines of this celebration, Cedel-Ong with the financial support of the Benin Alliance of Civil Society Organizations against Viral Hepatitis in Benin is organizing around fifteen urgent actions for the elimination of this disease.

Indeed, according to the executive director of Cedel-Ong this campaign has a specific goal: "To inform the populations of the city of Kandi about the means of prevention against viral hepatitis, treatment options for viral hepatitis, rectify false beliefs and rumors about viral hepatitis ”. This information campaign informs Wachirou Atchaou concerns six (06) villages or districts of the commune of Kandi "Kossarou, Damadi, Héboumey, Bensekou, Gbokoukou and Kassakou ”, he hinted. Moreover, at the end of these fifteen actions, Cedel-Ong officials are waiting "for the populations to be informed about viral hepatitis and to take preventive measures through screening and vaccination" he concludes..

It should be noted that starting the 28 July this fortnight of urgent actions for the elimination of liverworts ends on 12 August 2021. But before the officials of Cedel-Ong were met by the political and administrative authorities in this case the Mayor of the commune of Kandi Zinatou Alazi Osseini Saka.
