Sacre continental : The success of Italy and Argentina

At the end of a hard-fought final that ended on penalties (3-2), Italy wins over England, his second European title. On the South American side, Argentina was crowned by dominating Brazil in the final.

Yet in a Wembley totally committed to the cause of its selection, it is Italy which is given a cold reception by conceding the first goal (1-0). This follows a masterpiece from English left-back Luke Shaw (2′). We had to wait until the 67th minute to see the equalizer, goal by Leonardo Bonucci (1-1). An equalizer which forced the two teams to play overtime then fall on penalties.
Unfortunately for the English. In this exercise of the nerves, they were unsuccessful despite two saves from their goalkeeper Pickford. Result, it is the Nazionale which climbs to the highest step of the podium, thus winning its second European coronation.

Shortly before on the South American side, it was Argentina who dominated Brazil in the Copa America final with a lovely gem from Di Maria (1-0). A first trophy with the Albiceleste for the six-time Ballon d’Or, Lionel Messi after four lost finals with his national team.
