Richy A. Mousse : “Reading is food for the soul”

He has an easy pen to share his beautiful writing. Richy A. Mousse, Geomatics student, author writer of around forty novels, poet, Beninese screenwriter and columnist reveals through this interview his passion for writing about love. He also tells us about his conception of the word Love and why he chose this theme.. Read instead !!!

Writing is a passion for you or the fire of a destiny ?

It's a part of me, the blood that flows through my veins and my whole life. It's up to you to find a name for that. Because I don't know if it's destiny or a passion.

In your work entitled “True love ” why this theme ? Could we conclude that you are in love ?

Does this question even have anything to do with my novel? ? Non, I do not think so. Because love is the pillar of existence. And the novel bears this title, because its content encompasses the manifestations of pure love yes unconditional love. Without forgetting that every day that God makes, I am in love. Because love flows through my body.

Do you still believe that ” true love ” truly still exists today ?

After all I am a novelist and most of my stories revolve around love. Hum ! Smile ! And if I return the question to you ? Do you love yourself ? Like yes …but truly, it is only God who can love without reserve. Car,  This is where many go wrong, but the problem is that many do not know what TO LIKE. Otherwise love, the true and unconditional exists and will always exist. How can I not believe in love when it flows through my being like a vital liquid ? Love is a spirit, love is God and everyone defines it, describes it in his own way. So don't expect a response from me. Love is life, joys and tears. Happiness and unhappiness, love is good and evil.

One of your works entitled “My beautiful, my sterility” is this a fiction or a true story ?

My stories are based on both sides. And once it is God who gives the inspiration, for me fiction does not exist. In society we see that women suffer a lot in their in-laws

Tell us what can be done to give value to these women to whom God has not given the chance to give life?

There are several reasons for the suffering you speak of. For example, a woman who spent her youth having an abortion should not complain afterwards. I would just like to encourage women who have not done anything wrong in their lives and are facing these issues to stay strong, to have faith and turn to prayer. God has a plan for each of us, and we must not forget that many of these women who cannot have children live happily in their marriage, without suffering. God knows how to do such things. After all, orphaned children also need a mother, like those who do not have the chance to conceive.

Many people wonder if the Beninese writer can make a living from his art? If yes, how ?

Yes, a Beninese writer can make a living from his art, but it depends on several factors. Some people manage to make it their main profession and manage to earn enough money from their writing. However, It is important to note that this can be a difficult and uncertain path. But it can work well if we take these few elements into account : talent and quality of writing. This qi means that a writer must have an undeniable talent for writing and be able to produce quality works that captivate readers.. Also the diversity of work, that is to say the main source of income of a writer, can come from different sources., such as publishing books (romans, tests, poetry), writing articles...

What are your plans for the future ?

I'm saturated with projects, but for the moment I keep them for myself by putting God at the center. But OK, I will give a big place to African literature.
