GDIZ Benin had the distinct honor of receiving, this Thursday 12 October 2023, a delegation from APIX Senegal. The Director General, Abdoulaye Baldé and his members visited the different production and processing units in the Glo-Djigbé industrial zone. The Senegalese are seduced by the industrial revolution underway in Benin.
It’s an almost marathon day for the Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Major Works of Senegal (APIX Senegal) at Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone. Abdoulaye Baldé, accompanied by a strong delegation, visited the different production and processing units of GDIZ Benin. Fabric manufacturing factories, passing through the clothing showroom, without forgetting the Mahogany processing room, the refueling is done by APIX Senegal who leaves happy and satisfied with this guided tour. ”Je suis très impressionné par tout ce que j’ai vu, especially the speed with which the work was carried out. In two years, an entire industrial estate was built. C’est un exemple d’industrie à suivre en Afrique”, said Abdoulaye Baldé.
The latter took the opportunity to greet, Well Named, the efforts of the Beninese government which creates a workforce to get young people out of precariousness. ”Nous avons visité une zone de textiles qui forme des jeunes qui quittent de zéro pour devenir quelqu’un. All this accelerates the industrialization of Benin and for that, je voudrais très sincèrement féliciter le gouvernement du Bénin et les autorités en charge de l’industrie”, continued the president of APIX Senegal.
It must be said that this visit, which took place within the framework of an inspection mission, was an opportunity for the Senegalese mission, to take an example from Benin. “Nous sommes venus voir comment le site aménagé, two years ago evolves. We also came to see how things are going at the management level, story of going to implement this dynamic here in Senegal. Nous avons compris que l’Afrique ne peut se développer qu’en innovant dans le secteur industriel”, concluded Abdoulaye Baldé at the end of his visit.
Benin is not the only country to be concerned by this inspection mission. Togo is also concerned.
