Quality of basic social services in Benin : The objectives unveiled by the MdSC, the campaign launched today

The “Trait d’Union” project through the campaign on the quality of basic social services in Benin will be officially launched on 15 next june. In this context, the organizers of the said project were in front of media professionals to lift a corner of the veil on the initiative. It was Monday, 12 June 2023, at the House of Civil Society in Cotonou.

Strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations (OSC) to increase their effectiveness as development actors. This is the mission of the Maison de la Société Civile (MdSC). In this direction, she has since benefited 2016 support for the Accountability Program implemented by Swiss Cooperation which aims to create an environment where CSOs, citizens and the media interact with public authorities to offer better vital services to grassroots communities.

Following this logic, the MdSC has set up the “Trait d’union” project, started in 2022 and which aims to strengthen the supply and demand of Accountability through the deployment of a campaign of inquiry and dialogue centered on the real needs of communities. “Through Hyphen, MdSC mobilized stakeholders through a laboratory, group in support of a cause, an ideal or policy to bring about remarkable change, serve a cause or increase public awareness “ , said the Director of the MdSC Armand Vignon who had by his side, the representative of GFA Consulting, Marc Kokoyè and the Project Manager, Marie Azonsi.

According to the Project Manager, “Hyphen”, the campaign on the quality of basic social services in Benin concerns four sectors : the water, health, education and civil status. The project will last three months (June to August). And the representative of GFA Consulting added that the project aims to develop a synergy of action in relation to specific concerns. Remember that the campaign will be officially launched on Thursday 15 next June at the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou.
