October presidential 2020 in Ivory Coast : Alassane Ouattara officially invested as a candidate by the RDHP

Alassane Ouattara was officially invested as a candidate for his party (the RDHP), the past weekend in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). This, in the framework of the next presidential elections in October 2020.

The Ivorian president will be racing to run for a third term, said the spokesperson for the Rassemblement des houphouëtistes pour la democratie et la paix (RDHP). For this purpose, he was invested by his political party, Saturday 22 August 2020. “I invest you this 22 August as RHDP candidate in the presidential election of 31 october 2020”, said Henriette Diabaté, first vice-president of the ruling party, in front of tens of thousands of supporters gathered at the Houphouët-Boigny stadium, reports France 24.
“We will win”, reassured President Ouattara in his speech while promising “and coup KO” with a victory in the first round as in 2015. He insisted, according to the same source on its economic report, claiming to have changed the face of towns and villages in Côte-d'Ivoire.
