For non-payment of wages : The UNFPB at the bedside of two players

After a complaint to the National Union of Professional Footballers of Benin for non-payment of salary, two Real Sport players from Parakou now have a smile on their face. They received a grant from UNFPB.

For some time, Real Sports de Parakou is struggling to pay these players, this leads them to live in precariousness. In order to find an alternative to this situation, the players of the formation appealed to the UNFPB to intervene and help them get their pay. The former Beninese international, Romual Bocco, president of the organization had in his time come into contact with the president of the club so that a solution could be found. But it didn't work.

Faced with this situation of non-payment of wages, a delegation from the UNFPB therefore met the club and the players. The latter was led by the delegate president in charge of the organization, Léonce Landry Aissoun who had at his side Hyacinthe Akakpovi and Safradine Traoré. The descent was carried out on the land of the University of Parakou on which the league team trains 1 Beninese.

During the meeting two club players, UNFPB members were able to receive financial assistance from the association. Awareness was therefore made at the same time to bring other players to join the UNFPB. An action that would allow a better valuation of the profession of footballer who will be respected and considered at its fair value.

The UNFPB took the opportunity to educate players on the importance of having a good diet and an irreproachable lifestyle.. Indeed, it is unfortunately found that players do not pay attention to what they consume. Some do not even hesitate to drink alcohol excessively or spend all night in bars. Others go to unsavory places where they smoke, including shisha and consume narcotics. Habits that in addition to seriously harming their health, significantly affect their performance on the pitch. This therefore handicaps, the whole team and then the club. Several advices were given on the behaviors to have vis-à-vis one's health and the way of life to advocate.

The meeting took place in a good mood with several enriching exchanges. The players very happy with this initiation praised the efforts of the union and wish that it intervenes more frequently. The delegation promised to continue this momentum, before taking leave of the players in a warm atmosphere.
