Open Beach volley de Ouidah: Niger's double blow, Benin on the podium

The 1st edition of the Ouidah International Beach Volleyball Open ended on Sunday 1^is last August in a festive atmosphere maintained by the official sponsor of the event, the Mtn Benin mobile phone network. This 1st edition was dominated by Niger who was crowned in the two categories Men and Women.

 Indeed, Niger dominated Togo in men announced yet favorite of the tournament. The Togolese pair led by Kotoka Bruno and Samani Achille did not exist in this final mastered from start to finish by Mubarak Boureima and Seini Bassirou back in their match.. They folded the game in less than an hour by 2 sets to 0. Benin finished 3rd beating Togo 2 sets to 0 and wins the bronze medal.

In the second meeting with the ladies, Niger sent a young Beninese team which was the big surprise of this final. They (Christelle and Evelyne) fought with their but in front there was a more experienced Niger team led by Rakiatou and Sahada logically prevail by 2 sets to 0 (21-15, 21-12). Niger finishes in 3rd place

The champions of each category are left with a trophy, medals and a financial envelope one hundred thousand francs. The second received the same lot with an envelope of fifty thousand francs and the third twenty five thousand francs with the same lot.
