As part of their participation in the Mondial de pétanque which will take place next November in Spain, the Boulistes Squirrels started on Monday 9 August, the first phase of their preparation. This under the aegis of the National Technical Directorate of the Beninese Pétanque Federation and the staff of the national team.
Three months before the pétanque world championship in Iberian soil, the technical supervision of the Boulistes Squirrels in agreement with the federation starts the countdown. At the end of the process, they will be four bowlers to have the privilege of defending the national colors in Spain. Four places that are worth gold.
And for this first phase of preparation which will end on 22 August 2021, eight players were summoned by Guy Tronou and Thierry Babagbéto. It is: Marcel Bio, Marcel Gbetagble, Gontrand Mehinto, Amir Adéniyi, Mustaine Adéniyi, Vivian Zinvidjo, Emmanuel Agonkan et Roland Fagbohoun.
For maximum concentration, this is the International Center for Petanque Training (CIFoP), located in Djadjo in the municipality of Abomey-Calavi which was chosen by the Beninese Pétanque Federation to host this greening.
