Project of the Government of the Republic of Benin, e-Education aims to unify and optimize student management information systems, students and supervisory staff, with a view to enabling better financial and statistical governance in the Beninese education system. A transversal project, which involves the Ministry of Digital and Digitalization and the ministries in charge of the three levels of education.
It aims to set up next-generation information systems allowing, among other things,, improve the governance and management of education systems ; implement new teaching and learning practices ; to improve the follow-up and the evolution of the learners ; to make certificates and diplomas more reliable ; to strengthen the capacities and skills of teachers and to improve research.
In this perspective, the Information Services and Systems Agency (ASSI) under the supervision of the Ministry of Digital and Digitalization, organized a scoping workshop for the e-Education project to offer players in the digital and education sectors, an opportunity to define together, the fundamentals of the information system to be put in place, as well as the governance and roadmap of the e-Education project. This, in line with the government's vision. “The e-Education project should make it possible to optimize learning and improve the quality of transmission of knowledge by using digital tools”, Minister Aurelie Adam Soule Zoumarou.
It should be noted that guidelines have been given to the ASSI teams as well as to the firm that accompanies them., for an effective and efficient implementation of the project which, in addition to platforms, digital infrastructure and solutions already in place by the government, further modernize the education-training sector in Benin.
