Miss Literature Benin 2020 : The pre-selection stage passes

La présélection de l’édition 2020 de l’élection Miss littérature pour le compte du Bénin s’est déroulée ce samedi 17 October 2020 au Fitheb à Cotonou. Pour cette première phase, les dix meilleures ont été sélectionnées pour la phase finale prévue pour la fin du mois de novembre.

« Après la présélection, nous avons les dix meilleures pour la phase finale de l’édition 2020 in Benin. Ces dernières vont suivre un processus de préparation pour la phase finale nationale avant d’être invitées à la soirée qui nous permettra d’élire la Miss Littérature 2020 et ces deux dauphines pour le compte du Bénin », a déclaré Carmen Toudonou, president of the organization committee of Miss Littérature Bénin 2020.

Satisfied with the progress of this first act of the 4th edition of the election of literary beauty, she did not fail to thank the Jury present at this pre-selection phase "I am really satisfied and very moved simply because, with health constraints, we weren't sure if we would organize this year's edition. But we were able to make the preselection and I'm really happy. I am also very happy with the participation of our prestigious members of the jury who evaluated the different candidates.. C’est le signe que l’édition de cette année va se poursuivre dans de bonnes conditions », a ajouté la présidente du comité d’organisation.

Comme l’a rappelé cette dernière, la pandémie liée au coronavirus a eu de petites répercussions sur la présente édition. So, sur la cinquantaine de participantes attendues, seule une vingtaine a répondu à cette phase de présélection.

Jislaine Adimi, présidente du jury n’a pas manqué de féliciter le comité d’organisation et aussi de se réjouir de l’intérêt que porte désormais les jeunes filles à la littérature. We must take our hat off to the organizing committee of this competition because it (the competition) holds up and we wish him every success ”, she said before discussing the level of the candidates "I admit that the level of the girls was better in previous editions. But we hope the sequel will be better. It's also the first contact so certainly there is stress. The finalists' conditioning session will certainly do the selected candidates good..

Initiated in Benin since 2016, Miss Literature is a concept that promotes the intelligent beauty of the young girl by emphasizing the intellectual capacities of this one. The main aim of the competition is to promote excellence and generate more interest in the girl for the book, instrument in essence of culture and rigorous training.

Note that the final of this fourth edition of Miss Literature in Benin will be held in Cotonou on 28 November 2020 and the second regional edition will still be held in Cotonou in July 2021 avec la présence des Reines de la beauté littéraire venu de huit pays dont la Côte-d’Ivoire, Niger, the Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Togo, Cameroon, le Tchad et bien sur le Bénin.
