 Miss Africa Literature 2021 : The crowned Burkinabè, the Beninese 3rd runner-up

The grand finale of the literary beauty contest, Miss Africa Literature 2021 had its verdict on Saturday 24 July 2021 in Cotonou. The candidate from the land of men of integrity was awarded the continental crown as the candidate from Benin finished third runner-up.

Coming from eight countries on the continent (The Benin, the Burkina Faso, Cameroon, the Ivory Coast, Guinea Conakry, Niger, Chad and Togo), the finalist candidates of the edition 2021 of the Miss Africa Literature contest met on Saturday July 24 at Azalaï Hotel in Cotonou for the final test of this long process of electing continental literary beauty.

 At the end of the various trials they faced, this is the young Burkinabè, Rose Zerbo Bitibaly who was elected Miss Africa Literature 2021 by the prestigious jury composed of : Ella Bonin president of the jury, Ida Gnimagnon and Cécile Avougnlankou jury member. Succeeding the Ivorian Yélé Aïcha Soro sacred in 2019, the native of the province of Sourou becomes the new Queen of African literature and is therefore committed to "promoting reading among children so that they are torchbearers of the literary cause". She will be accompanied in this noble mission by three runners-up during the period of her reign., to know : the Ivorian Adèle Bedabah N’Tamon (1also dauphine), the Chadian Grace Toïdibaye Kodjineloum (2and dauphine) and Beninese Inas Adéfounkè Karimou (3and dauphine).

While waiting for the next edition, the promoter of this literary competition, the Beninese writer, Carmen Toudonou is satisfied with the unfolding of the said event which, according to her, could not have taken place without the support of the partners, of the godmother of this edition the Honorable Sèdami Médagan Fagla and of the Honorary President the Honorable Boniface Yèhouétomè.
