Pro League Season 2021-2022: Hostilities start on 16 Next october

The various football teams involved in the national Pro League championship on behalf of the season 2021-2022 are now fixed. The date of 16 Next October is chosen for its official launch. It was on the occasion of the Ordinary General Assembly of the executive committee of the Benin Football Federation held last week in Natitingou.

This is one of the major decisions taken by the members of the executive board of the Beninese football management body. What implies that lovers of round leather will reconnect in a few weeks with their passion. Even if this decision already thrills fans of the round ball, its implementation is still subject to certain requirements with regard to the health situation in Benin.. Indeed, during the conclave, members of the Beninese football management team have estimated that access to the stadiums will be conditional on presentation of the vaccination pass. This means that all the players, members of the technical staff, club officials and referees are all required to be vaccinated before being admitted to stadiums for championship matches. The same decision also applies to supporters and others wishing to follow the matches.. On this subject, the fébéfoot intends to be very demanding.

Des nouveautés…

Unlike the past season, the Beninese Football Federation is considering strong actions to increase the visibility of the Pro League. In this context, a marketing device is planned. Il s’agit selon le Secrétaire général de l’instance d’un plan qui permettra de “redynamiser les contacts avec les sponsors potentiels y compris les structures et agences intermédiaires de marketing”. Likewise, the National Technical Department (DTN) which has remained inactive until now will be structured. Coaches and managers involved in the organization of the championship will be equipped. As was the case last season, the next Pro League will be animated by zone but this time with 38 clubs.
