Living Together : Doctor Eric Adja initiates an international conference

It opens this Wednesday 28 February 2024 at the bird song of Cotonou an international conference on economic living together, political and social (Civeps). It is an initiative of the NGO Bénin solidaire in partnership with the French-speaking social and solidarity economy network (Refress).

“Assemble the people, form a holy meeting ! Gather the old men, Assemble the children, Even babies at the breast ! Let the bridegroom leave his home, And the wife of her room ! » thus the Lord inspired the prophet Joel at the time when the people of Israel were overwhelmed by a great famine. It was necessary to repent and return to the divine principles which found life in community to ward off bad luck.. This prophetic call from back then is even more relevant today with the acute economic crisis and the atmosphere of mistrust that govern the world and in particular in Beninese society.. Doctor Eric Adja was right, hence his initiative.

Two round tables will furnish the conference. The first focuses on “Challenges and Opportunities of Living Together Politically in a Plural Society” with panelists representing political parties such as BR, FCBE, Moele Benin, GSR, LD, UN-Benin.

The second is entitled “What road map for living together in Benin ?’’ ici, the panelists are named Father Antoine Tidjani, Ogoubiyi Marcel, former MP Yacoubou Malehossou and Doctor Eric Adja, Director of Afria and initiator of the Cotonou conference.

But before these interventions, a communication on the political history of Benin will be presented by Igor Hounzandji.
