The diastema: The seductive anomaly

Characterized by a space between the teeth precisely the upper incisors, the diastema which in the past was considered an anomaly has now become an element of beauty and therefore of seduction.

 Also called “tooth of happiness” or “tooth of luck”,  the diastema that some call "tooth gap" is an anomaly caused by the hereditary dental structure or by an abnormal position of the tongue. In effect, this temporary space in some and definitive in others changes more and more status and goes from dental malformation to tool of seduction, thus benefiting many of those who have it and who find no harm in showing it off with a smile. Rébecca abounds in the same direction and affirms that the diastema is a natural gift for oral aesthetics and even finds that there are men who love it "It's a natural asset of beauty and men appreciate that. Diastema is not only observable in women. Some men also benefit from this natural gift and even if it does not have the same attraction as in women, it is also part of the aesthetics of these. For Lydwine "This tooth of happiness gives the same sensation to both men and women.. You just have to know how to make good use of it”.  "It doesn't matter who has it, a tooth breach remains a special touch for human physical beauty”, adds Guillaume.

The diastema, a subject of “I love you neither”

It is understandable that men have made this anomaly a weapon of seduction. Which weapon is better usable by Africans, pushing even those who do not have one to envy the wearers. To analyze the different assessments, there is every reason to believe that the teeth of happiness make wearers happy. “Which is not often the case”, retorts Justine. "I don't know what some people find good in the tooth breach, but it's embarrassing to me and if I find a way, I will make this gap between the teeth disappear” she confides. An opinion shared by Bénédicte. “I often find it difficult to smile in public because of this small space between my teeth. Relatives tell me about its aesthetic side but I don't have this feeling of being charming with it ", she underlines.

Note that the size of the gap, varies from individual to individual. And according to experts, the diastema can be treated for those who find it undesirable and the treatment depends on the size of the observed space.
