Festival des Sports, Culture and Nautical Arts of Ganvié : Editing 2024 looks more than interesting

Festival des Sports, Culture and Nautical Arts of Ganvié is a large-scale event linking sporting competitions, hobbies, culture et arts, organized on Lake Nokoué. During this ceremony the president of the Organizing Committee and promoter, Yacoubou Onitchango revealed not only the period of holding this edition announced at the end of the last edition (of 24 at 31 August 2024 ) but also the different activities that will be this year’s main course.

It is a festival which in addition to sports competitions on the water such as the canoe race, rowing, the sailing race, open water swimming, snorkeling, is also intended to be a place to revalorize the culture of lake peoples and lagoon tourism through the destination “Ganvié”. The theme chosen for this year's account is : “the lake peoples in L’ Blue economy”.

On a sporting level, a workshop for reflection on the theme is planned : “NAUTICAL SPORTS IN BENIN : CHALLENGES AND PERFORMANCE”. This workshop will be organized with the active involvement of the federations of the sports disciplines concerned., of the Ministry of Sports, clubs and many others. This year, the committee anticipates more than 40,000 festival-goers.
