International day against high blood pressure: The SBC will screen for patients

Many people die suddenly of high blood pressure without really knowing the causes. On the occasion of the International Day for the fight against high blood pressure (HTA) who is celebrated this 17 May 2022, Benin Society of Cardiology (SBC) organizes a screening campaign in Cotonou.

Real public health problem high blood pressure (HTA) is very common in Benin and affects nearly 27% Population (STEPS 2015). Curiously, more than half of these victims do not know each other. It is with a view to allowing these “sick” who are unaware that the Beninese Society of Cardiology (SBC) initiated these sessions. The screening campaign it is organizing will be followed by awareness sessions and will be spread over two days.. Already on Saturday 28 May 2022, the teams will deploy to the Dantokpa market from 11 a.m. 00 and Sport Jogging and Fitness. The next day, Sunday 29 May, they will be at Fidjrossè Beach from 6:30 a.m..
