International Day of La Francophonie: The 20 mars 2023 in detail

Every year, in date of 20 mars, International Francophonie Day is celebrated around the world, in French-speaking countries but also in those where the French language is less widespread. This date refers to the birth, the 20 mars 1970 in Niamey (Niger), of the Cultural and Technical Cooperation Agency, which would later become the International Organization of La Francophonie.

This year, International Francophonie Day celebrates French-speaking cultural creation, its diversity, but also the need to promote online access : its “discoverability”.
