Ghana: Jerry John Rawlings is no more.

Former Ghanaian President, Jerry John Rawlings passed away on Thursday 12 November at the Cardiothoracic Center at Korle Bu University Hospital at the age of 73 years. The information was confirmed by relatives of the family through Citi news.

Former military leader then politician, Rawlings led Ghana from 1981 at 2001 and for a short time in 1979. He came to power as a flying lieutenant in the Air Force following a coup in 1979.
