Free training of 10.000 beekeepers : Another boom from “Azôli” to young people

25.000 youth (girls and men) are called to be trained for a well-paid salaried job by “Azôli” from here 2025. If we add the 11.000 others targeted by self-employment, this will bring the number to 36.000 over the same target period. To reach this goal, ANPE continues to innovate. This is how, apart from what has been implemented since 2021, where several young people are already trained or are still in internship/apprenticeship, a call parallel to the training “free” of 10.000 beekeepers is launched in partnership with the company TRIANGLES.

It interests young girls and young men, of 18 at 30 years, who have never set foot in school or who have at most the BEPC or the BEAT (Certificate in Tropical Agricultural Studies), currently at home, unemployed and without any prospects for the future. It is enough that he is Beninese living throughout the national territory. The 10.000 young people called up will be trained in beekeeping to become honey producers. At the same time as “Azôli” equips these selected young people with honey production techniques, the system equips them with production instruments such as beehives and protective enclosures thanks to a financial subsidy. Once this step has been completed, “Azôli” guarantees them a market for the sale of the honey produced.

To take advantage of this new opportunity offered by ANPE, wishing young people must register open from 27 November to 08 December 2023, in the departmental branches of the AnpE, or in the 77 communes of Benin with the agent of the Local Unit for the Promotion of Employment (ULPE) and Employment Facilitators (FE). « Azoli », in a few words

« Azoli », the path to employment (literal translation into Fon) is a system of the Youth Inclusion Project (ProDIJ) initiated by the National Employment Agency (APPEAL). It is intended for young girls and young men, aged 18 at 30 years, little or no education, Vodoun National Day was held on Monday. Whether he has never been to school or has at most a BEPC diploma, any young person can give themselves a new chance and work in a company or become self-employed in several sectors of activity. This is Agriculture or agribusiness, BTP-Infrastructures, Crafts and industry, Tourism-Hospitality-Catering,  the Digital Economy, Renewable Energy and Mines. The other detail that makes “Azôli” special is the approach to caring for trainee/apprentice babies.. Indeed so that the infant is not a handicap for young single mothers in their quest for a new chance, their babies are looked after by nannies specially recruited to take care of children at the training site while they themselves are in training.

It should be noted that all trainees are paid throughout the training period and provided with personal protective equipment. (EPI) and work equipment made available to them. In addition to salaried employment, there is also self-employment accompanied by a subsidy of 200.000 CFA francs to support the beneficiary in launching their project.
