Caf Cup Final:Discovering the Raja of Casablanca

One of the sections of the eponymous sports club, Raja Club Athletic de Casablanca is a professional club which plays in the Moroccan football championship. It was created on 20 mars 1949 by Moroccan nationalists and unions in the popular district of Derb Sultan2. Raja CA sits at the Raja-Oasis Sports Complex where it carries out its training, and has played its matches at the Stade Mohammed-V since 1955.

The club's most capped player is Moroccan Abdelmajid Dolmy (688) while the top scorer is Said Ghandi (148) from Morocco.
As a reminder, Raja CA and Al Ain are the two Arab teams to reach the Club World Cup final. A feat which allowed the Aigles Verts (club nickname) to be ranked by FIFA in 10th place in the ranking of the best clubs in the world. On the African level, the People's Club was ranked by CAF in 3rd place among the best African clubs of the 20th century, after Al Ahly SC and Zamalek SC. With its 17 trophies, the most successful Moroccan club of the 20th century and is the 5th most successful team in Africa with 8 titles in official competitions.
