Ferdinand Sounou, President of the Benin Table Tennis Federation: “We will focus our work on developing discipline”

A few days before the elections for the Beninese Table Tennis Federation (Fbtt), President Ferdinand Sounou, candidate for his own succession, unveiled a few lines of its proposed program to the various delegates. For the man who broke records and moved the lines during his tenure, it is urgent to continue on the same momentum for the influence of Beninese table tennis.

"We will focus our work on the development of the discipline at the base and promote table tennis in all departments and all municipalities of Benin", said Ferdinand Sounou, president of the FBTT. To believe it, the qualification of the two Beninese table tennis players, Ziadath Akadiri and Chancia Lima at the African Senior Table Tennis Championships to be held in Algeria, November December 2022 is the culmination of an effort but at the same time which must be perpetuated by qualitative work. “This in order to develop professionalism and allow the best players on the national level to find clubs outside, therefore encourage the elite to have clubs internationally”, he specifies. To achieve its goals, it proposes the cleaning of the texts to avoid any slippage which could slow down the process initiated. “The grooming of our texts is very important because it has been since 2004 that our texts have been adopted. this being, they must necessarily be updated and adapted to the current dynamics”, said President Ferdinand Sounou, while specifying that it is urgent to work for a climate of peace and conviviality in the sports movement of table tennis. “Work done in a good atmosphere of communion always contributes to good”, a conclu Ferdinand Sounou.
