Félicien Hounkanrin on the collective resignation of the Ambassadors of Patrice Talon from BR: “This decision is motivated by several reasons”

The wave of resignations which is shaking the Bloc Républicain party a few weeks before the legislative elections is far from knowing its epilogue. The latest is that of the members of the crucible called “The Ambassadors of Patrice Talon” from the departments of Ouémé and Plateau. They made it known last weekend. Contacted by our editorial staff, the Ouémé coordinator of the movement,  Félicien Hounkanrin explains the reasons.

They are no longer members of the Republican Bloc Party. Them, these are the members of the movement the Ambassadors of Patrice Talon from the departments of Ouémé and Plateau. They are slamming the door on this political formation of the presidential movement within which they have campaigned for several years. It was through a collective resignation announced last Sunday. We, young people gathered within the crucible called “The Ambassadors of Patrice Talon” who called in 2015 President Patrice Talon to return to his country to be a candidate in 2016 formerly members of the Bloc Républicain party in the departments of Ouémé and Plateau, we signed our collective resignation this Sunday. So, we are no longer members of the Republican Bloc Party” confirms Félicien Hounkanrin, Ouémé coordinator of the crucible. To believe it, this decision is motivated by several reasons including the reward in monkey money for the efforts of the members of the movement by the party leaders. “This decision is motivated by a succession of events that we have experienced. You know in life, you have to give yourself to work. You have to show what you are capable of and let the environment of the people you live among appreciate and you return the favor. The observation that we made is that not only do we give ourselves to the task but also we do what is within our power so that the Republican Bloc can take root in our areas of intervention but the result that we obtain in terms of return of the elevator always discourages. We have suffered many times and the wickedness continues so that when we have taken stock, we saw that down the line, we are used to conquer for others and if it progresses like that, it’s discouraging because all the investments we make over a certain number of years collapse,” he explains before adding : “When you are in a business and you have no profit, you must stop immediately to save your capital. This is what we decided to do by marking our end with the party because we understood that no one is going to defend us in this party. No one testifies to our effectiveness at the highest level. Conclusion, all our efforts are sacrificed for each major issue”.

Back to square one…

After the collective resignation of the members of the “Les Ambassadeurs de Patrice Talon” movement, their next destination is almost known even if the officialization is not yet an effective thing. According to the leader of the group in the Ouémé department, they have no choice but to return to square one. For him, this is the best solution than many others. " You know, the movement is national. We have branches throughout Benin and Minister Oswald Homeky is the president.. It was he who carried out the operation with us and today he is a member of the Progressive Union Renewal. So there's not even a debate. We are returning home especially since we were the same founding members of the Progressive Union in 2018 and it is the political analyzes, repositioning to allow the Republican Bloc to be strong in the area that led us to the Republican Bloc. As the latter believes that he is already strong and he no longer needs us, we said perhaps that we have already finished our mission” said the departmental director of Sports of Ouémé. According to our information, the official declaration of adhesion of the Ambassadors of Patrice Talon who have resigned to the Progressive Union Party the Renewal will take place on the weekend of 9 and 10 next december.
