Beninese Fencing Federation : Jacques Okoumassoun is back for four years

Sole candidate for his own succession, Jacques Okoumassoun, president of the executive committee of the Beninese Fencing Federation was reappointed. It is at the end of the elections organized during the elective congress of the said federation, Friday 29 January 2021 in the city of Ouidah.

Without surprise, the outgoing president of the Benin Fencing Federation, Jacques Okoumassoun was re-elected for four years during the elective general assembly. He obtained the full support of the 7 delegates. This elective general assembly was marked by the exemplary discipline of the representatives of the various associations. Re-elected therefore, the new president said he was proud of his team and thanked everyone for their renewed confidence. He then promised to give a worthy return to this mark of confidence. "It's when results come out that you realize that people still not only have you in their hearts but also trust. I am very happy to see that the majority of delegates trusted me, it is moreover, which explains why they all voiced their opinions on me. I will make sure to honor Beninese fencing for the next four years., confided Jacques Okoumassoun before specifying that the short-term objective of his office is to make fencing known to Beninese. " Our dream, it is to ensure that all Beninese where they are already know this discipline. Then continue our project which consists of encouraging children under 15 years who are in schools and colleges to practice it. The credo of this new office is to ensure that fencing is democratized that we evangelize people to the practice of fencing while demonstrating that it is not a discipline of the rich ". "We certainly don't have great resources but we have this desire to move the lines and I believe that with the support of the authorities in charge of sport in Benin who, moreover, have never let us down, the goal will be achieved”, he indicated.

Before the renewal of the executive office, the different reports (moral, of activities and financial) were adopted by acclamation. At the end of the works, the new office proceeded to the inauguration of the headquarters of the Benin Fencing Federation, sis in Fidjrossè.
