Civil status in Benin: New registration procedures come into force

Government decision on new birth registration modalities in Benin is irreversible. Since April 1 2021, several changes occur in civil status in the Republic of Benin. Dedicated to this fundamental mission, the National Agency for the Identification of Persons (ANIP), interacted with health center managers and civil status officials in town halls.

The material given to health workers and civil status officials consists of algorithm forms., acts of recognition of paternity, of the geographical code of administrative units, hundred-page notebooks and pen, birth declaration and registration monitoring sheets in the RNPP. let's remember that, the deadline for declaration of birth is thirty days from the date of delivery and that of death is fifteen days from the date of occurrence of death.
