In addition to its faulty state, the National Road N°4 represents today a real trap for men. And for good reason, a very deep pit is currently under the bitumen of this road at the height of Sissènou, a town in the district of Azowlissè.

Every day is enough for the users of the National Road N°4 ( Akpro-Missérété – Dangbo- Adjohoun – Bonou – Kpedékpo). Apart from the potholes that are there and the defect of its surroundings, it now represents a real danger for those who use it, particularly in the locality of Sissènou in the district of Azowlissè, town of Adjohoun. Like an ambush, a giant pit due to erosion is under the bitumen of this road axis in this locality. And if nothing is done, the risk of an imminent collapse of the track at this level is imminent. In front of this situation, local residents, users and authorities call for help. “It is a danger that awaits the users of this road. If nothing is done for a while, the risk of subsidence is great” deplores Pierre N. a resident. “It is therefore urgent that the authorities act urgently to avoid the worst,” he says..

The District Chief of Azowlissè did not remain insensitive to this situation. Very concerned about this state of affairs, he says he is worried after the observation. For him, the authorities in charge of infrastructure and transport must rush to the scene for an urgent solution. “We call on the competent authorities for help. In this case, I invite the Director General in charge of infrastructure to come and see for himself. He shouldn't send someone who in turn will report to him. When he himself comes to see, he will know what to do in an emergency,” says Édouard Faton.
