Higher Education : AIESIGT was born

Surveying engineers, graduates of the Higher School of Topographic Surveying Engineers of Benin, E.S.I.G.T. finally hold their association. Gathered in constitutive general assembly on Saturday 9 September 2024, in Cotonou, they validated the texts governing their new crucible and elected the first leaders to lead its first steps. The participants in this general assembly came from Togo, from Burkina Faso, from Ivory Coast and Benin.

The Association of Engineers of the Higher School of Engineers Surveyor Topographer, AI-REQUIRED, is the fruit of several years of reflection and discussions initiated in 2019. An initiative carried out successfully this Saturday by Armand Dognon, chairman of the preparatory committee. For the man, “it is a consultation framework of solidarity and sharing for the better development of its members.” Far from being another association, the perceived AI-ESIGT, by the school from which it comes, as a privileged partner. According to its director, Conchita Mèvo Guézo Kèdowidé, this new crucible must work on the organization of the profession of topographic surveyor. It must ensure that it restores the image of the corporation to which it belongs and enhances, indirectly, the brand image of their parent company: l'ESIGT.

An association in tribute to the founding father of ESIGT

The soul of the fire Constantin Bah, will have long hovered over the work of this general assembly. The founder of ESIGT is in fact the man who also put forward the idea of ​​creating an association of this kind to bring together all the engineers who graduated from the school in order to establish within them a chain of solidarity and establish a solid and permanent link between these professionals and their school. Vibrant tributes and testimonies were paid to the memory of this eminent expert surveyor.

In 24 years of existence, the Higher School of Topographical Engineers of Benin, formed 89 specialists in the field.
