The Court for the Suppression of Economic Crimes and Terrorism (CRIET) delivered its verdict in the case of the kidnapping of Steve Amoussou in Lomé.

The gamble was thrown. CRIET has had its say in the case described as the kidnapping of Beninese Steve Amoussou on Togolese soil.

After several hours of debate, the people implicated in the case were located on their fate.

The court decided to grant pure and simple release for Ouanilo Medegan Fagla, director of the National Center for Digital Investigations (CNIN). The defendants Jimmy Géraud Gandaho and Gbaguidi were sentenced to 24 months in prison including 12 month in prison.

The Court also ordered the two defendants to jointly pay the sum of 5 million CFA francs to Steve Amoussou as damages.

A warrant was issued against Jimmy Gandaho and Géraud Gbaguidi.
