World Cup qualifiers 2022: The list of Squirrels from Benin

The coach of Benin, Michel Dussuyer unveiled this Tuesday 24 August his selection of 24 players selected to play the first and second days of the World Cup qualifiers 2022. Two matches which will be played respectively on 2 September in Antananarivo against Madagascar and the 6 September in Cotonou against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We find in this group most of the usual executives like Khaled Adénon, Steve Mounié, Michael Potom, Cedric Hountondji, Olivier Verdon, Jodel Dossou and Saturnin Allagbé. Five players playing on the continent including two locals are also present on this list. This is Rodrigue Kossi, Bourou Samadou, Marcel Dandjinou, Junior Olaïtan, Cherif Dines Kakpo.

Matteo Ahlinvi and Sessi’Almeida return after absence on final day of CAN qualifiers 2021 against Sierra Leone. Absent are Fabien Farnolle, David Kiki, Jacques Bessan and Jérôme Bonou.
