FIF elections : FIFA calls for suspension of electoral process

The supreme body of football management has just asked, according to RFI, the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), the immediate stopping of the electoral process until further notice.

Could we say that the FIF is heading towards a dead end ? Everything suggests that it is this destination that is emerging for the moment. Because according to RFI, "Fifa calls on the FIF to immediately suspend the electoral process for the election of the new president scheduled for 5 next September and until further notice ", wrote on its site the French media before adding that the world body of king sport "would point the finger at the deleterious climate of the last assembly of the Electoral Commission which would not have had the opportunity to resume work in all quietude. It ended with the resignation of the President of the Commission, the former Minister of Sports René Diby ".

She also asks the FIF, according to the same source to send him this Friday 28 August, some documents, in particular the list of the members of the Electoral Commission and certain numbers of minutes. She last week overturned a decision by the FIF that suspended the Electoral Commission.

Good news surely for the Ivorian star, Didier Drogba whose candidacy was rejected yesterday Thursday 27 August 2020 by the Electoral Commission of the FIF.
