As the fateful date for the submission of applications approaches (19 November 2021), several names announced to run for a position in the next elections in March 2021 at the level of the executive committee of the umbrella body of African football.
Nigerian, Amaju Pinnick, according to several sources, would no longer be ready to occupy the only chair in the West B zone.
Which would leave the way open for Hamidou Djibrilla nicknamed Pélé, President of the Nigerien Football Federation who plans to succeed him in this post.
Like him, other candidates are chomping at the bit before stepping out of the woods for these elections which promise to be particularly open.
This is the Tanzanian, Wallace Karia from Southern Africa who is also targeting the CAF executive committee.
Ditto for the president of the Tunisian Football Federation, Wadi Jarii who aspires to run for the presidency of CAF. If his candidacy becomes official, she will endanger that of her compatriot, Tarek Bouchamaoui.
