Before the Budget Committee of the National Assembly, the boss of sports, Oswald Homeky defended brilliantly on Monday 29 November, the budget of his ministerial department for the year 2022.
In a global amount of 32.977.800.000 FCFA, this budget which knows an increase of 46,7% will make it possible to continue on the same momentum while accentuating efforts around the levers necessary for the influence of Beninese sport in strict compliance with the Government's Action Program (PAG).
According to the explanations of the Minister of Sports, new sports and socio-educational infrastructures planned in the PAG 2021-2026 will start by seeing the light of day in 2022.
It is: construction of the Parakou international stadium, the rehabilitation of the Charles De Gaulle stadium in Porto-Novo, the reconstruction of the René Pleven stadium in Akpakpa instead of the current one, the construction of a bowling alley 2.500 places in the framework of the 50th edition of the World Bowling Championship, the construction of a French-speaking tennis academy, the construction of a girls' football academy, synthetic turf covering of the annex football playing area of the General Mathieu Kérékou stadium.
So it should be specified, “la poursuite du projet des classes sportives, la professionnalisation des championnats dans toutes les disciplines et le démarrage du projet de production de contenus sportifs TV selon les standards internationaux” ont été pris en compte.
Note that in terms of structuring 25.950.000.000. FCFA are allocated to capital expenditure and 7.027.800.000 FCFA for ordinary expenses.
