The National Technical Director, Zéphirin Hounkenou said he was satisfied with the way the competitions were held. This is our second local competition that saw the participation of athletes from sister countries. According to him, these championships have enabled the Benin Athletics Federation to gauge the current level of athletes but also "allows us to have a database on which, the work will continue to be done in order to make our athletes more competitive for the next competitions in which Benin will have to participate ”.

But before the course of the various tests, the opening ceremony was marked by the presence of the minister of sports, the president of the National Olympic Sports Committee of Benin and the presidents of the sister federations.
