Returning from a two-month internship at the great Shaolin temple of Henan, China : Wushu practitioners already in the fold

After their brilliant participation, the five Beninese practitioners who participated in two months of traditional wushu training, at the Great Shaolin Temple in Henan, China are back.  They were welcomed at Cardinal Bernardin Gantin International Airport by a strong delegation from the Benin Wushu Federation (FBW), the representative of the prefect of Ouémé and the municipal council of Dangbo headed by the mayor Maoudo Djossou.

This is yet another step taken by the Beninese Wushu Federation. Dosseh-Williard Prisca, Emile's criminal, Osandu Audrey Gaëlle, Kpobadagni Rudlin and Degbo Chérif, the five practitioners returned home with one more achievement.  Indeed, during training, there was talk of revisiting several taolu including Shaolin shi san quan, Shaolin lianhan quan, Shaolin Wu xing quan,  Shaolin mei hua gun et Shaolin chuji dao. An exam marked the end of the internship and a grade change (3th traditional Duanping) was carried out to assess their respective level. They were ordained disciples of the Shaolin Monastery and successfully obtained the rank of 3rd Duan of traditional wushu at the Shaolin Temple in Henan..

 “It’s a real opportunity for us to have participated in this training course. This allowed us to reinforce the basic techniques of the practice of traditional wushu and the promotion of the latter which combines the practice of wushu, animal forms, meditation, calligraphy and traditional Chinese medicine », Dosseh-Williard Prisca happily confided, head of the delegation and practitioner before adding: “We thank the executive committee of the Beninese Wushu Federation headed by President Grand Master Patrice Komenan Dossou-Yovo”.

“We are proud of you and especially of the good work done by the president of the Beninese Wushu Federation and his entire team. He never spared any effort so that every time we asked him for an event in our town, a team is dispatched to produce a good wushu demonstration table for us. Reason why, the Municipal Council authorized us to honor our presence this Saturday”, indicated Mayor Maoudo Djossou. Following him, the representative of the prefect of Ouémé agreed in the same direction while emphasizing the work carried out by the Beninese Wushu Federation.. “Madam the prefect congratulates the FBW committee for everything it does for the development of this sporting discipline. Because this Chinese martial art trains Man and all Man intellectually., culturally and sportingly with fulfilled human capital, competitive and competent in the development services of Benin in accordance with the Government Action Program and the vision of His Excellency, President Patrice Talon », said Ambroise Dansou.

Note that the Beninese were with the Burkinabè practitioners. The two delegations know each other well since last July, they were almost together in Abidjan during the 8th African Wushu Championship.
