Presidential campaign kicks off: Day D-1

Friday 26 Mars 2021. This is the date that the Autonomous National Electoral Commission has chosen to begin the electoral campaign for the presidential elections of 11 Avril. Less than 24 hours, in the staffs of the different candidates on the list, preparations are going well.

“We are ready to meet the population. You will have time to see how we are going to move the lines. Our objective is to achieve the knockout on the evening of 11 avril », said Christophe K. member of the Republican Bloc, party supporting the duo of the Talon-Talata movement. “At our level, we have already defined the strategy to convince voters. The better we master the terrain”, reassures Kelvine O. member of the Forces Cauris for an Emerging Benin before adding “We are going to create a surprise. The alternation at the top of the State will be done and this in an atmosphere of conviviality and fraternity”. “As our party’s definition indicates, we have set ourselves the mission of Restoring Trust (RLC). For this we are not going to leave any place where the hand does not pass and iron. This is why we will go to each hamlet to explain our social project to the population”, confides Régis H. from the circle of the duo Corentin Agbélessessi Kohoué and Iréné Agossa.

For Edmond Kakessa of civil society, the electoral campaign is a time of celebration and not of invective. “This is why we invite everyone to show tolerance and for everyone to advocate peace”, he indicated.
