Inter-university cooperation 2023 : A first for UNSTIM Abomey

Boost competitiveness and strengthen cooperation between schools, UNSTIM entities and companies. This is the objective of UNSTIM Abomey by organizing 18 at 20 December 2023, the 1st edition of Inter-university Cooperation. During these three days, it was a question of discussing themes that could strengthen the partnership between UNSTIM and companies in order to ensure professional training focused on practice for students.

“The professionalization of students, it’s in businesses, the industrial environment that they can really acquire this know-how”, says Thierry Godjo, Vice Rector, responsible for inter-university cooperation, external relations and professional integration of UNSTIM. The rector of UNSTIM, Joachim Djimon Gbenon for his part will say that “these days will facilitate the meeting between students and the world of entrepreneurs to show them outside of theory, of laboratory practice what can be done in companies ». According to the explanations of these two important personalities, UNSTIM wants to be more present, visible and more professional in its areas of training and professional integration of young people.

For its part, Allide Gaëtan, Organic City Director, one of the privileged partners of UNSTIM informs that the University prepares the men and workers of tomorrow. “To be in tune with what the university teaches, there are these days which allow us business leaders to better discover the efforts being made at the university level and also to better position ourselves in terms of needs, in terms of the different offers that we have. So, it’s a mix between the university and businesses to see how both parties will be useful”, he lets go.

The students who were massively mobilized to take part in these days of reflection say they are satisfied with the initiative. "Really, if I have to express myself, is to say a big thank you to our rector and the entire rectoral team for everything they do for us, UNSTIM students. We are really happy with the fact that many companies and business leaders have come to provide us with the different lines to be able to integrate into working life.. They told us a little about the opportunities available to us UNSTIM students”, said Alexis Akakpo, student at ENSTP Abomey. It should be noted that several panels and conferences were hosted during these days of inter-university cooperation at UNSTIM Abomey..
