Meetings marked by the presence of other political parties without forgetting the very noticeable support of Boni Yayi, honorary president of the party.
More than a meeting, this National Council of LDs sounds like a remobilization of its troop. Activists and elected members of the National Assembly of the opposition party responded to the call. For one of the vice-presidents of the party, the presidential 2026 is in focus.
In a speech of about twenty minutes, for him, The flame of the Democrats party did not win the results but it won the election with its 28 members of the National Assembly.
There is therefore no question of stopping on such a good path. The objective is to improve the trial by going to the general elections of 2026 to raid. This with the will of the people, hence the theme of this National Council which puts at the heart of its actions in order to put in place a good strategy for the conquest of power..
He did not take advantage of the presence of the deputies of the presidential movement to request the decree appointing the leader of the opposition. In his address, demands for the release of Reckya Madougou and Joël Aivo, other political prisoners and the return of exiles are mentioned.
The foundations of Porto-Novo, a parenthesis of democratic expression
At the National Council of the Democrats party held in Porto-Novo, the political class as a whole made the trip. Whether they are from the presidential movement or the opposition, leaders of these political parties responded to the call of Éric Houndété and his allies. Thus the Progressive Union the Renewal (UP-R) was represented by Orden Alladatin, the Republican Bloc (BR) par Robert Gbian, the Movement of Elites Engaged for the Emancipation of Benin (MOELE-Benin) by Serge Ahouanssou ; the People's Liberation Movement (MPL) by Experience Thebes. There was also the New National Force (NFN) and the Cauris Force for an Emerging Benin (FCBE), the Democratic Union for a New Benin (UDBN) and others. Each of the various guests went up to the desk to place a note at the party location. One of the spades, others words of support and encouragement.
Good job, the other attraction
It was ringing 13:30 quand la berline 4×4 tout terrain, black color of the former Beninese head of state and honorary president of the party Les Démocrates parked in front of the tent at the place des fêtes ifè; executive chosen for the National Council of the party. Dressed in local attire, “Goodluck” coupée sur mesure, Boni Yayi is welcomed by Éric Houndété and Nouréini Atchadé to the ovations of activists and supporters. Once installed, Boni Yayi praised the organization of the Council before opening the work itself. What characterizes the Democrats, according to him it is the dialogue. “C’est notre ADN. He is recognized.
The National Council has decided to convene its congress on 14 and 15 next October in Parakou, in the north of the country.
