The Council of Ministers met on Wednesday, the 09 October 2024, under the chairmanship of Mr. Patrice TALON, President of the Republic, Head of state, Head of Government.
The following decisions were made :
I- Communications.
I-1. Selection of centers responsible for training Beninese artisans for the year 2024, as part of ARCH-Formation.
As a reminder, the training component of the ARCH project aims to strengthen the professional skills of stakeholders, primarily craftsmen. Those from other informal sectors will gradually be taken into account, with the aim of improving the quality of their productions, consequence of their overall capacity to generate income.
For this purpose, to compensate for the scarcity and inadequacy of training centers as well as the lack of qualified trainers in the areas defined as priorities, it was carried out in 2023, to the prequalification of some of them. Which made it possible to form 1720 artisans.
In fact, a database of reference training centers capable of providing the training sought has been created with the support of experts- international professions in the photovoltaic renewable energy sectors, cold and air conditioning, pastry, from the bakery. The same is true of agri-food processing., plumbing, automobile mechanics and the transformation of cow's milk into cheese.
It is therefore from this directory that the centers selected for the training to be provided this year for the benefit of 2.676 artisans.
I-2. Contracting as part of the construction project of a household solid waste transfer center in Akogbato, in Cotonou.
The said center is a sub-project of the city's rainwater sanitation program, the execution of which requires the completion of a complete summary preliminary project mission., detailed preliminary design, preparation of the tender file as well as control and supervision of its construction work, excluding the completion of an environmental and social impact study.
By indicating its agreement for the contractualization relating thereto, the Council instructed the Minister of Living Environment and Transport, responsible for Sustainable Development, to ensure the proper execution of the specifications.
