WOOMB International Congress coupled with the 70 years of the discovery of the MOB : Two couples represent Benin in Rome

Rome, the Italian capital has hosted 28 at 29 Last April the international congress of WOOMB International. This major meeting, which took place in the auditorium of the Catholic University of Sacré Cœur, brought together several delegations from all over the world.. It also saw the participation of two Beninese couples, especially couples : Yemadjè and Solomon. The particularity, this year is that this international conference coincides with the 70 years since the discovery of the Billings Ovulation Method (MOB). Method invented by the couple / John and Evelyn Billings.

After Cotonou in 2020, it's Rome, the capital of Italy which hosted the international WOOMB congress this year. This discussion meeting, of experience sharing and capacity building coincides this year with the 70th anniversary of the discovery of the “MOB” hear (Billings Ovulation Method) which is a method of natural birth control based primarily on sensing and observing the cervical mucus produced by the woman's cervix during a monthly cycle to prevent or promote a large. It allowed practitioners of the Billings Method to share experiences and be informed about new discoveries related to BOM. “The Billings Revolution 70 years later, from knowledge of fertility to personalized medicine”. This is the theme of this year's conference which brings together couples accredited for the promotion and popularization of this method in the world.. Benin is well represented at this conference by couples : Salomon Olivier and Laure and Yémadjè Fabrice and Lucrèce. Several communications furnished this congress. A Rome, the Beninese delegation presented some slides : They are essentially devoted to how the Billings Method began in Benin, WOOMB-Benin organization, the activities of the last three years, future projects already planned.

The 1st day of the first leg is fixed from, Benin presented a rich picture of its culture and that of Africa under the artistic direction of Laure Salomon, president of the NGO PFNGC Woomb Benin. She explained to the audience the work that is done in Benin through the MOB. According to her, WOOMB-Benin works to help couples and women who do not use any planning method to adopt the Billings Ovulation Method. “The organization also helps couples in early pregnancy to have children through the Billings Ovulation Method and teaches women how to talk to their daughter before the arrival of the first menstruation or period., then trains teenagers and young people to know the different kinds of female cycles and to know how to identify the main sign of female fertility, which is cervical mucus”, she detailed. The work went well to the great satisfaction of the participants.. “We had the Italian government insisting that the birth rate in Europe especially in Italy is too low. This poses a problem for future years., withheld communications given, Gerard Fox, accredited member of WOOMB International. There have also been medical interventions including, on the role of age in women on their fertility, showing that the woman is waiting to conceive and the more difficult it is for her to wait for a baby.

There was also a communication on medically assisted procreation techniques. This conference takes place from this Monday until 3 Next May in courses that will be led by instructors to create a pool of instructors and allow participants to deepen their knowledge. “These are very important training times. The interest is obvious to be able to leave with increased knowledge of BOM and how to disseminate this method», added Dr Fabrice Dimitri Yémadjè, Beninese conference and training participant.
