World Conference on Conflict Prevention : Presidium-Benin holds its first meeting

Installed on 23 May 2022 in Cotonou, at the Golden Tulip Le Diplomate hotel, members of the Benin presidium of the 3rd World Conference on Conflict Prevention (2022-2025) gathered on 21 June 2022 at the Royal Palace of His Majesty Alajase Onikoyi Abesan VI in Porto-Novo, in Benin.

This first meeting was attended by all members of the presidium.. Three important decisions should be noted. Among these, there is the face-to-face meeting of the Presidium-Benin which will be held once every three months. The other important decision taken relates to the exact mission of the Benin presidium of the 3rd world conference on conflict prevention.. Here, the board does not intend to put the cart before the horse. It is at the headquarters of Humanité also called Igbalè Ayé in Idigny in the commune of Kétou, at Vizier Olofin II Olofindji Akandé, that the pilgrim's staff will be given to the team with the different attributions, Monday 11 July 2022. The position of Outreach Manager for press and communication leaders intended for the eminent journalist Columnist, Jerome Carlos, Managing Director of Radio Capp fm will be temporarily occupied by Martin Hounton, journalist speaking in Yoruba language on Capp FM.

During the meeting, the representative of Beninese political leaders within the presidium made four proposals. Proposals that El-Hadj Wabi Amadani, would like the Presidium to take into account in developing its roadmap. This involves, among other things, inviting political leaders to continue facilitating women and young people in political debates through their access to decision-making bodies., conducting approaches to institutions in order to popularize the objectives of the three-year program and the design of the peace messages contained in the program to be disseminated in the media. The mission manager of the mayor of Porto-Novo, also suggested awareness campaigns for movements and associations on the objectives of the program through mini-conferences.

Should we remind, these are the works of the 3rd World Conference of Kings, pure, traditional leaders, religious leaders, political leaders, men and women of peace on conflict prevention in the 21st century held on Monday 23 May 2022 in Cotonou which resulted in the establishment of the Presidium-Benin.
