Concert at the Wézon Bar restaurant : The Guèdèhounguè Brothers without equal

They amazed the audience at the Wézon Bar restaurant. The Guèdèhounguè Brothers, as on similar occasions, they have, once again shown that they are endowed with extraordinary talents.

Since June 1st 2024, the president of Wézon Arts and Cultures and Promoter of the Wézon Bar restaurant located in Cotonou not far from the Houéyiho overpass has decided to keep his customers in suspense through live concerts every two weeks.

And Saturday 15 last june, it was the turn of the Guèdèhounguè Brothers to hold the bet of an exceptional evening. “We opted to satisfy our customers but also to contribute our stone to the construction of Beninese music”, confided Jean Louis Gnidokponou while adding that “in two weeks, we will still be entitled to the passage of an orchestra group and an artist. It will be like this until the day before Independence Day”

Time for the demonstration of the Guèdèhounguè Brothers

All virtues of white as usual, they demonstrated to the spectators the richness of the traditional rhythms of Benin. For more than approximately 2 hours, this group exclusively made up of children of the famous Vodoun priest “Sossa Guèdèhounguè” gave joy to the public.

On stage, they had musicians alongside them including two guitarists, a drummer, three percussionists and a pianist. With this procession of instrumentalists, the Guèdèhounguè brothers, have magnetized space and destroyed occult nests. They revisited several pieces (mystique station, With a cat, Sèmandégbé, Go ahead, Azangban…), all bearers of edifying messages, thus providing pleasure to the public.

Whether it is Agbadja of Sahouè, Adjan, mom and, It's black, or zandro, all the rhythms were there. If the shyest preferred to stay there to dance, others preferred to go to the front of the stage to express their ecstasy. Even the most unexpected people have indulged in this euphoria.
