Beninese Commission for Human Rights : The National Assembly renews its representatives

The swearing-in ceremony of the two new members who will represent the National Assembly in the Beninese Commission for Human Rights (CBDH) will be held on friday 16 October 2020 to the Constitutional Court.

These are the honorable, Dominique Atchawé of the Republican Bloc and Jean Pierre Babatoundé of the Progressive Union declared elected by the President of the National Assembly, Louis Vlavonou. This in accordance with the provisions of article 10 of Law No. 2012-36 of 15 February 2013 establishing the Beninese Human Rights Commission.

Established as part of the logical continuation of the process that led to the political liberalization of Benin at the beginning of the years 90, the Commission plays a specific role. It ensures the implementation and respect of international commitments made by Benin in the field of human rights.
