Commemoration of 4 centenary: A festival en hommage au roi Dako Donou

Of 15 at 18 December 2022, Houawe, located in the commune of Bohicon hosts a festival as part of the celebration of the four centenary of the reign of King Dako Donou.

The event aims to be an enticing cultural and artistic rendezvous at the end of the year.. Il est organisé par le palais royal de Houawé actuellement occupé par Sa Majesté le Roi KPOGBEMABOU et est placé sous le haut parrainage du maire de Bohicon.

Les trois jours de réjouissance seront faits, among others, de défilé motorisé, carnaval géant,  marche du cœur sur la route Dako Donou à travers la ville de Bohicon, des sorties d’Egungun et Zangbeto, un conclave sacré sur les relations entre les Rois d’Abomey et Dako Donou. Ce sera également une occasion pour les festivaliers de redécouvrir des mets et chants de d’époques. Le festival sera clôturé dimanche par un méga concert avec des artistes de renom dont Sewlan Aziza, Brisco et Chermos Prince Djohou.
