National school championship : The opening of the recorded season

It's an open secret that the school championship is now a reality in Benin. The logo of the competition was unveiled on Monday 21 June 2021. It was thanks to a ceremony that took place in the blue room of the Cotonou convention center.

This logo presentation ceremony is coupled with the exchange of documents between FIFA and the Benin Football Federation. For Geraldine Hennin, FIFA representative, this logo presentation ceremony is "an important step in the organization of the competition" she said. So she insisted that the aim is to continue the implementation of grassroots training programs.. "The start is effective and it is a historic day for the development of Beninese football at the grassroots", says Mathurin de Chacus, President of the Beninese Football Federation (FBF), while thanking FIFA for the accomplishment of the project. He promises that the FBF will do everything in its power to support Beninese youth. Because he will say "Football at school is the basis for the development of the Squirrels of tomorrow".

" This Monday 21 June 2021 is a great day because we will be able to move on to the operational phase of the project, which is the fruit of a common will between the government of Benin and the Beninese Football Federation supported by FIFA ”indicated the Minister of Sports who was delighted that Benin is a pilot country for the implementation the new format of the national school championship program.

At the end of the signing of the agreement, place for the official launch of the championship logo. For the Secretary General of the Ministry Bellarminus KAKPOVI, the logo conveys a strong message. The recognition of the Benin brand in a triptych principle : Vision – Voyage – Prestige.

Note that the final phase is scheduled to take place in Grand-Popo from 17 July 2021 and which will follow on from the municipal and departmental phases.
