 National Roller Sports Championship, editing 2023 : Roller Pro and Roller Fire take the cake

The Beninese Roller Sports Federation organized, the 25 and 26 November 2023 à The wings, the national championship. At the end of the two days of competition, Club Roller Pro and Roller Fire come out on top.

As in the previous edition, the national roller sports championship 2023 took place in two disciplines which are Inline Freestyle and Inline Speed ​​Skating. Several events were on the program. It's about 100 meters sprint, you classic slalom (Senior Man), you battle slalom (dame), you marathon 2000 m route (Cadet Boys and Girls), you marathon 2000 m route (Mini Man and Lady), 3000 m route (Super Mini Man and Lady), the 5 kilometers points (Cadet Boys and Girls), 10 kilometers (Men’s and Women’s Elites).

Without surprise, on the test of 10 kilometers to points, Elite Ladies (15 ans+), Rawdath Demba Diallo (Roller Pro) outplayed its competitors. She is followed by Gloria Agbossou (Cosac/Lok Roller). In the Elite men category, Mohamed Demba Diallo who got the better of Farihane Tchaba.
At cadet level (Speed Slalom) Jean Noël Ehlan (Eagle Skater) is sacred. In the same event at the senior men's level, the palme d’or went to Mama Acharaf-Dine (For Roller).
At the end of the two days of challenge, at the level of Inline speed skating Roller pro finishes at the top of the ranking of clubs in this discipline with a total of 15 medals including 09 en Or. Roller Fire occupies second place in this ranking with 12 medals including 03 en Or. Third place is occupied by Cosac/Lok Roller with 7 medals including 2 en or.
At the level of Inline Freestyle, Roller Fire takes first place in the general ranking with 7 medals including 2 en Or. With 3 medals including 2 en Or, Para Roller takes second place. Aigle Skater and Cosac/Lok Roller share third (4 medals including 1 in Gold each).


For Frank Enock Hossou, Technical Director of the Beninese Roller Sports Federation, it is an edition which confirmed that the clubs are resolutely setting out to achieve better results. “We can say that our elite men and women have maintained their place. There were also several revelations. Which shows that the clubs work tirelessly to promote this sport. Regarding Freestyle, athletes who were in their first experiences were able to win medals. Which demonstrates that in the departments and in remote areas, Roller skating is practiced. Substantial work by the National Technical Directorate will be done in the days to come for even better results”, he indicated.


Satisfied with the progress of this championship, Frankin Ahounou, Vice-President of the Beninese Roller Sports Federation (FbRs) didn't hide it. “It’s a feeling of satisfaction because it’s a won bet from the point of view of the participation of the clubs and the performances recorded in the different events without forgetting the professionalism of the judges in the conduct of the events”, he suggested before continuing “We learn a lot from Inline speed skating and Inline Freestyle. It is up to the National Technical Directorate to define the strategy to be able to better follow the best. Also in the future, it is to be able to dissociate the two championships to be able to give visibility to the two disciplines but also to define a day for the organization of freestyle which is a major discipline for the federation”. To conclude, he confides that the next project of the Federation will be to invest in the training of supervisors “to be able to capitalize on all the energy and enthusiasm at club level but also among the youngest”
